Bio:

I'm a Telecommunications and Network Engineering professional with 30+ years experience in the high-tech workforce. My strengths are a proven record of learning and adapting to new environments through the support of a wide array of diverse companies. Within the last few years, I've been creating and conducting an array of technical and career skills trainings.

Client satisfaction is always my top priority.

Positions I'm engaging:

I'm actively looking for security engineering and training positions. With my experience I can work within a team to accomplish engineering duties and with my training experience I can mentor team members in a project and/or tech lead role.

My ideal position would encompass both technical and skills development training coupled with practical experience in Internet engineering. Concurrent experience and training act as a conduit between the practical and the theoretical whereby one improves the other.

Training philosophy:

All information is connected in some fashion. Technology today is built upon the principles and work that came before. As an instructor, I have to present new materials in a way that a learner can both retain and apply that to their current assignment. I accomplish this by showing the connection between the new information and what they already know. This inspires the confidence to apply that knowledge.

People learn in many ways and there is no one teaching style that can reach everyone. As a teacher I have to adapt every lesson plan to the changing nature of those various learning styles. The training material must be continually updated/refreshed.

My role as a trainer is really the role of a facilitator.
